Timboon and the Grampians
Nestled on a small slope, off Haywards Road, Timboon, is Howland's Vineyard.
Stewart Howland and his wife Jeannie established this smaller vineyard in 2010, that grows predominantly Pinot Gris, then small amounts of Sav Blanc and Moscato. With clay soils, high rain falls and cool temperatures influenced by the Otways and sea not so far away, it creates white wines with crisp acidity.
Stewart and his vineyard, is what helped us begin our wine making journey, with us making our first local wines from there in 2013. It has been our privilege to have made every vintage picked from here since then.
All wines made from Stewart's vineyard have Echidna Artwork on their labels.
Grampians (Black Cockatoo Label)
Since 2021 we have been fortunate to have access to quality Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Sugarloaf Creek Vineyard located in Great Western. It is grown by a reputable Winery, well know from that area.
